The Library of Annapurna Memorial College of Education, Kashinagar,Kakdwip, established in 2012, serves as an intellectual hub of the institution, fostering academic excellence, research orientation, and professional growth among M.Ed., B.Ed., and D.El.Ed. students as well as faculty members. The library is located on the first floor (Right-hand side) of the main academic building and plays a vital role in supporting teaching, learning, and research activities of the college.
The library is proud of its rich and diversified collection of more than 18,000 books, encompassing disciplines such as Education, Social Sciences, English, Bengali, History, Geography, Mathematics, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, Anthropology, Ethnographical and Phenomenological Research, Metaphysics, and Co-curricular and Community-based Education. The library subscribes to 47 printed journals and several magazines and articles of academic relevance.
The library uses Koha Software for library management and provides Web OPAC services to facilitate easy access to its collection. It also offers access to e-books, e-journals, e-newspapers, and digital repositories that enrich the research and learning experience of its users. The collection includes over 8,000 research and innovation-oriented books, fostering a strong culture of inquiry and intellectual development.
The mission of the Library of Annapurna Memorial College of Education is to empower teacher educators, student-teachers, and researchers with knowledge resources, technology, and services that inspire lifelong learning, critical inquiry, and educational innovation. The library aims to promote a scholarly environment that encourages the ethical use of information, academic collaboration, and the advancement of pedagogical research in alignment with the college’s commitment to excellence in teacher education.
